The easy, budget-friendly way
Namibia shuttle tours on the Gondwana circuit
Not keen on driving long gravel roads, but a private guide is more than you'd like to spend? The Gondwana shared shuttle links Namibia's main sights, and we plan the rest of the trip around it: lodges, excursions and every connection in between.

How it works
You ride together, then everything else is yours
The shuttle runs on set routes with other travellers. Once you arrive, you stay at your own lodge and do the activities you've chosen. It isn't a group tour.
We plan your route
We work out which stops suit your dates and interests, and check the shuttle days before we confirm anything.
You hop on at each stop
The shuttle collects you at your lodge or the agreed pickup point and drops you at the next one.
Excursions are booked for you
The shuttle doesn't go into the parks. We book the guided trips that do: sunrise in Sossusvlei, game drives in Etosha, a cruise from Walvis Bay.
We stay in touch
Every pickup time and place is written in your travel documents, and our Namibian number is a WhatsApp away.
Where the shuttle goes
Daily departures link Windhoek with Sossusvlei, Swakopmund and Etosha, with connections through Damaraland and the Kalahari. The Fish River Canyon in the south is served a few times a week.

A route many of our shuttle travellers take
Ten days by shuttle: dunes, coast and Etosha
An example to show how it fits together. We change the nights and lodges to suit you.
- Day 1
Windhoek
Arrive and spend the night in Windhoek. We'll brief you on the trip and the first pickup.
- Days 2–3
Shuttle to Sossusvlei
Two nights in the Namib. On the morning of day 3, a guided excursion takes you into the park for sunrise on the dunes and a walk to Deadvlei.
Stay at, for example, Namib Desert Lodge or Namib Dune Star Camp
- Days 4–5
Shuttle to Swakopmund
Two nights on the coast, with time for a Walvis Bay cruise to see seals and dolphins, or a 4x4 trip to Sandwich Harbour.
Stay at, for example, The Delight Swakopmund
- Day 6
Shuttle to Damaraland
One night among the red rock hills, with a sundowner looking out over the valley.
Stay at, for example, Damara Mopane Lodge
- Days 7–9
Shuttle to Etosha
Three nights with guided game drives into the park and quiet evenings at the waterhole.
Stay at, for example, Etosha Safari Lodge or Etosha King Nehale
- Day 10
Shuttle back to Windhoek
Return to Windhoek in time for an onward flight the next day, or continue to Victoria Falls.
Is the shuttle right for you?
- You're travelling on a budget and want good value.
- You're travelling solo and would like company on the road.
- You'd rather not drive on gravel, or you don't have a driving licence.
- You're happy to follow set departure days and times.
If you'd like to stop wherever you please or set off before sunrise, a self-drive or a private guide will suit you better. You can also mix: shuttle for part of the trip, then a guide or a flight for the rest.

Shuttle tour questions
Is a shuttle tour the same as a group tour?
No. You share the shuttle between stops with other travellers, but you stay at your own choice of lodges and do your own activities. There's no fixed group and no tour leader.
Does the shuttle take me into Sossusvlei or Etosha?
No, the shuttle connects the lodges and towns. We book guided excursions for the parks, such as a sunrise trip to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei and game drives in Etosha.
How often does the shuttle run?
The main routes between Windhoek, Sossusvlei, Swakopmund and Etosha run daily. The Fish River Canyon is served a few times a week, so we plan the south around those days.
Can I travel solo on the shuttle?
Yes, and many solo travellers do. It's a sociable, affordable way to see Namibia, and we're on WhatsApp if you need anything along the way.
How much luggage can I bring?
Bring one main bag and a day bag per person. A soft bag is easiest. We'll confirm the allowance for your bookings.
Can I combine the shuttle with other ways of travelling?
Yes. Some travellers take the shuttle for the main route and add a private guide in Etosha or a scenic flight over the dunes.
