Sit back and look out of the window
Private guided tours of Namibia
A private driver-guide just for you, your partner, your family or your friends. They take care of the roads, the timing and the wildlife spotting, and share the stories behind every place you visit.

Why a private guide?
You see more when someone knows where to look
A good guide spots the leopard in the tree you drove past, knows which waterhole is busy this week, and makes the long road between regions part of the experience.
No driving, no navigating
Ideal for first-time visitors, travellers who don't want to drive on gravel, and anyone who'd simply rather relax.
Only your group
It's private, not a group tour. You set the pace, stop for photos whenever you like and change plans along the way.
In your language
We can source German, French and Spanish-speaking guides, so you can ask every question and catch every story.
Peace of mind
Your guide handles check-ins, park permits and timings, and knows what to do if something unexpected happens.
Guten Tag · Bonjour · Hola
German, French and Spanish-speaking guides
Namibia has a long German connection, and German-speaking guides are some of the most requested on the road. We also source guides who speak French and Spanish.
Language guides are limited and book up quickly from July to October, so tell us your language when you first enquire and we'll secure your guide early.

Guided tour questions
Is a private guided tour a group tour?
No. The vehicle and guide are only for your party. We don't run scheduled group departures, so every guided tour is private and planned for you.
Can I have a German, French or Spanish-speaking guide?
Yes. We source guides in German, French and Spanish on request. Let us know early, especially for July to October, as language guides book up fast.
Where does the guide stay at night?
Your guide stays at or near your lodge, ready to set off with you in the morning. Their accommodation and meals are arranged by us.
Is a private guide much more expensive than self-drive?
It costs more, because you're paying for the guide's time, vehicle and accommodation. For two or more travellers sharing, the difference is often smaller than people expect. We'll price both so you can compare.
Can I have a guide for only part of the trip?
Yes. Some travellers self-drive or take the shuttle for part of the trip and have a guide for the wildlife areas, like Etosha and Damaraland.
Can a guided tour include Victoria Falls?
Yes. We can plan your Namibia tour to finish with a flight to Victoria Falls, and our Tourgy Tourz team arranges the rest.
